Our Mission:
Hills Angels Parents Association (HAPA) is a non-profit organization
that financially supports all levels of the Competitive Team program of Hills
Gymnastics Training Center
Our Charter:
The primary purpose of HAPA is to financially support the gymnasts in the Competitive
Team program at all levels.
HAPA supports the growth and development of Hills Gymnasts
by helping fund the competition and travel expenses associated with competitive
gymnastics.
Currently the majority of our sources come through fundraising
and monthly assessments. Many of the parents and members of the organization
dedicate their time, talent and resources to help fulfill the dreams of each
competitive gymnast at Hills Gymnastics.
A Board of Directors oversees management of the Association.
The Board of Directors consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary,
Treasurers, Team Level Representatives from Pre-team (Level 1-4) through Optional

Team parents are encouraged to attend the monthly board meetings.
Notification of the day and time for meetings is posted on the Parents' Bulletin
Board in the gym. The HAPA board meeting is generally held
on the third
Tuesday of each month at 7:15pm. The Bulletin Board is also used
to announce upcoming events and post information from the coaches. Parents
must check this board
on a regular basis to be aware of what is going on in the organization. Such
information will also be available through this web page in the future.
There are financial, fund raising, and work requirements for
parents based on a gymnast's competitive level. The funds raised are used to
support team meet entry and travel fees, (upper levels) social functions, and
awards given during the year. Each year the Association hosts one major meet
outside of the gym and parents are required to work a number of sessions depending
on their gymnast's competitive level. The major event hosted by Hill's Parents'
Association is the Maryland Classic held on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday
weekend in January each year.
TEAM Membership Fee: Each team member must pay a once-yearly membership
fee of $25 to Hill's Gymnastics (not HAPA). The annual membership
dates
from September 2005- August
2006.
